Inayawan Dumpsite of Cebu
Reflection by Sr. Perry Inso, RC
Today, in response to the pandemic community quarantine measures, the Cebu team of volunteers have grown from FREE KITCHEN project to Community Pantry in Inayawan.
Started out as a feeding program for children years ago developed into an on-going outreach cum values formation program to a group of fathers in Inayawan dumpsite, Pardo, Cebu City. This is in collaboration with Batang Mekong Foundation. This formation aims to provide sufficient support to the children and help the fathers become more responsible and be involved in their children’s education.
Drug-rehabilitation
Working with a group of surrenderees (drug users) in Tindog, Medellin, Cebu in partnership with a lay guidance counselor, the team reaches out in faith-sharing, praying through meditation and fellowship.
