Following God’s Call – monthly prayer meet for young women

A 13-monthly prayer meet for single women between 21 to 35years old. Whether you feel an attraction to religious life or you are a lay person seeking to deepen your faith and spirituality towards greater love for self and others, this program aims to gather and accompany seekers in this journey of discernment through prayer & reflection [communal and personal], group faith sharing and spiritual direction [optional]. Beginning from May 29, 2021 (Saturday) 9am to 12noon, the group will meet in Zoom and each session will be facilitated by a Cenacle Sister from Asia: Sr. Yna from Macau Sr. Perry from Cebu Srs. Susay, Cecille from Manila Srs. Xiaowei, Kriz from Manila / Singapore Inspired and adapted from the book “Following God’s Call” by Sr. Judette Gallares, RC, the 13 sessions hope to address questions : What is Vocation? How does one pray and listen to the voice of God? Who is God that I am called to follow? Who am I? Courage, Trust & Love of a Religious

Immersion Program @Cenacle, 2020 A testimony from a participant through whatsapp: Gd Morning Sr.!I really wish to visit Manila. My heart is drawn to go there again.. It is hard to share a little of my experience about the Manila Immersion Programme as it is a rich and eye-opening 7 days journey. However, if I am to summarize the grace God has granted me, that would be the courage to trust in the love of our good Lord, in the way He wants to love me, not in my preferred way, because He always know the best than I do. At first, I hesitated to join the programme because there is too many ‘risk’ I have to face, especially in taking leave from full time job, which is normally not so easy. But even before the programme, God has granted me the courage to trust in His providence. He only wants my YES and He takes care of the rest. Praise God for that! Throughout my journey in Manila, He showed me that this grace came alive in the Religious Sisters and Brothers whom we visited. They face different challenges in their respective missions and vocation journey, but they persevere on and amazingly, all of them look so happy. They love until it hurts, but they still carry on to love, until it hurts no more, but only love remains. Thank you Sisters and Brothers for letting me taste the fruits of your courage, trust and love. On top of all, I thank my Lord for this experience. It is too wonderful that I wish to return to Manila and I hope there will be another similar programme so others can receive the experience like I do. 🙂

Discerning with Sr. Yna Oñate

Do you feel a natural connection or a sense of peace in the company of Religious? Do their vocation stories move you? Are you able to recognise the Love of God in your life and a deep desire to want to give yourself more? Can God call us through things that we like?  To enter Religious Life, do I really have to give up , enter into a lonely place and  “sacrifice”  in order to follow God?  What if my personality ‘doesn’t fit’? Will I be happy and free to be myself in Religious Life? In this radio interview with Radyo Katipunan  87.9FM, on Jun 11 2019, Sr. Yna Oñate, rc speaks about the gifts of the Cenacle, her vocation discernment process and experience of God’s Goodness that offers her the possibility of giving herself fully as a response to this great love. Celebrating Perpetual Vows of Sr. Yna Oñate, rc

  This day, June 9, we celebrate and give thanks to God for Sr. Yna Oñate who will pronounce her perpetual vows in the Congregation of Our Lady of the Cenacle.
